We're looking for a motivated IT Network & Systems Intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience in enterprise networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and IT operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of network infrastructure and server environments
  • Support installation and integration of server hardware, software, and enterprise applications
  • Assist in the administration of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and user account management
  • Support VMware/Hyper-V virtualized environments and cloud-based technologies including Microsoft Azure
  • Monitor network performance and help identify opportunities for optimization and improvement
  • Assist with network security initiatives, firewall administration, VPN connectivity, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by end users
  • Assist with maintaining documentation, network standards, and IT procedures
  • Participate in technology rollouts, upgrades, and special IT projects
  • Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and security
  • Support third-party applications and enterprise systems as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, switching, wireless networking, and DNS
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware/Hyper-V, Cisco networking equipment, or Fortinet solutions is a plus
  • Interest in systems administration, cloud technologies, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently as well as within a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and grow technical skills

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

  • Experience with network administration, homelab projects, classroom labs, or personal technology projects
  • Familiarity with firewalls, VPN technologies, backup solutions, or server hardware
  • Exposure to scripting, automation, PowerShell, or cloud platforms
  • Participation in student technology organizations, cybersecurity competitions, or IT-related projects

Education

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related field.
