Accounts Payable Specialist

Simon Roofing, a leader in the Commercial Roofing Industry, is currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented accounting professional to join our Account Payable team. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills, have great attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task.

Accounts Payable Responsibilities: The accounts payable specialist is responsible for managing outgoing payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining vendor relationships.

  • 80% "hybrid" remote work (4 days a week work from home, and 1 day at our corporate office).
  • Review, obtain approval, and process incoming invoices.
  • Match invoices with purchase order documents.
  • Properly code invoices into the financial system.
  • Prepare check runs.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage company credit cards and resolve disputes.
  • Work closely with purchasing to commit and correctly code invoices.
  • Assist with month-end closing and accruals related to Accounts Payable.
  • Manage company storage rentals.
  • Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation and adjustments.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
  • Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Accounts Payable Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP (REQUIRED).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Business Central.
  • High level of accuracy and organizational skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Associate or Bachelor degree in a related field (Preferred but NOT required).
  • Minimum Two (2) years of Accounts Payable or related experience (Required).
